
These three Noonday Advent Recitals are scheduled beginning at 12:00 noon with a light lunch served to follow benefiting our youth ensemble, Cantabile. These recitals feature local Arborlawn talent and guest artists, as well. We hope that you will make every opportunity to be present for these inspirational recitals.
Arborlawn organist Jerry Westenkuehler will open the 2012 Advent Recital Series with an organ recital of Advent and Christmas music that is sure to delight the listener.
Arborlawn talent will provide music for the second Advent recital. This recital will include music presented by Christa Zimmer, alto; Barron Rice, tenor; Jenna Rice, soprano; David Thompson, tenor; and Alan Davis, tenor. This recital should be a meaningful addition to our Advent season.
Kristine Harris, trumpet, joins with Jerry Westenkuehler in an Advent recital to close the series. Harris, formerly head of the music departments at the College of the Ozarks and Brewer Parker College, has performed often with Westenkuehler. We look forward to this recital!

Jeffrey J. Ford is a graduate of Asbury College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and served as organist at Westcliff United Methodist Church from 1988-1991. He has also served as organist at Marvin United Methodist Church in Tyler, Texas. Ford currently serves as Organist/Choir Master at Christ Episcopal Church in Tyler where he is responsible for leading and accompanying the Chancel and Canterbury Choirs, as well as the administration of the church music department. Jeffrey also serves as Artistic Director of the Choir School of East Texas and as Adjunct Professor of Music at Tyler Junior College.
Arborlawn talent will provide music for the second Lenten recital. This recital should be a meaningful addition to our Lenten season.
